Personal-finance lessons told as parables: pay yourself first and put money to work.

My review

Can a book be good and still teach you almost nothing? That was the feeling I had with this one.

The parables are well constructed. The format of ancient tales makes the principles easy to remember, and within what it sets out to do, it's a very complete book. I read it agreeing with everything and writing down almost nothing.

The ideas stop at the basics. If you want to understand asset allocation, inflation, income, the stock market, it's no use. It's great for building the habit of saving, and that's as far as it goes.
