My review
For anyone in DeMolay, the Masonic youth order, Dad isn't just a name in its history. He is like a father. The biography is very well made and detailed. It follows Frank S. Land as a person, not just as the founder, and shows where the idea of creating the Order came from. You can feel that the Order was born out of real care for one person, not out of an institutional project designed from the top down.
What stays with you most is his character. Kind, warm, friendly, devoted to generations of young men who weren't his sons. As I read, I thought about the Uncles and seniors who welcomed me into my chapter, and how that spirit is still there, more than a hundred years later.
Ideal for every DeMolay and for anyone who wants to understand where this story comes from. To me, the author's admiration for him takes nothing away from it. Thank you for everything, Dad.
